Policies

• Tuition:
  Shared lessons: $15 per lesson or $60/month
  Private lessons: $20 per lesson or $100/month
  Required materials cost about $40 every ten to twelve weeks
  
  
• Monthly tuition remains the same whether there are 4 or 5 lessons in the month
  Discounts will be made for pre-planned holidays & vacation
   
• Make-up policy:
  It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements for unexpected missed lessons. Every attempt will be made to allow for make-ups, but this is not guaranteed. You are, in essence, paying for a space in the teaching schedule. That space is reserved for you whether or not you attend the lesson.
   
• Lesson time:
  Length of lesson depends on the number of individuals in the lesson:
  1 person = 25 minutes
  2 persons = 30 minutes
  3 persons = 35 minutes
  4 persons = 40 minutes
  
  
• Other:
  Please be punctual. Arriving 5 minutes early assures that the group will start on time. There is a comfortable seating area near the classroom.
  
  
• Parents of young students are encouraged to attend lessons with their children.
   
• If some part of the group is moving much faster or much slower through the lesson material, the group will be reformed so that each student has the support of others who are moving at their particular speed. This is not a race. There is no right or wrong speed of progress. But people are different and allowances will be made for those differences so that everyone is comfortable in their shared lesson.
  
  
• Rather than a formal recital, performances will be an informal community music sharing experience.
