- Simply Music begins with the premise that everyone, without exception, is deeply, profoundly musical. It is part of being human. If you can walk and talk, you have enough musical ability to learn to play the piano.
- Simply Music is a playing based approach to piano instruction. From your very first lessons you will be playing great sounding music with both hands-classical, contemporary, ballads, blues, jazz, accompaniments.
- Simply Music is designed to be most effective in a weekly shared lesson environment-small groups of 2 to 4 students learn together. Private lessons are also an option. Each week your teacher will guide you through the lesson. You will be supplied with at home materials to support your learning process: a video that reviews the lesson, an audio recording of the music being learned, and a notebook of clues to help you on your way.
- Simply Music delays the reading process for about a year. Just as children learn to babble and then speak before they learn to read and spell, Simply Music students learn to play 30 - 40 pieces with both hands before they learn to read music based on what they already know how to play. This change from the way Piano is traditionally taught greatly speeds the process of learning to play and learning to read music. It represents a tremendous breakthrough in music education.
